Corrupt vob?

When I try to encode this specific vob file with flask I get an error. Flask will just crash (winXP). I do not have the source dvd with me so I cannot re-grab the vob.

Is there anyway I can repair this file? or another programme I can try and use to encode it?

virtualdub - but if your vob is down...it's down. check for a program that could skip bad frames.

Are you able to play the .VOB on your PC, using a software DVD player?

Yes, the vob plays from start to finish using dvd playing software.

Then try using MPEGMediator instead of Flask...

I think the vob might be dead.

But, if you wanted to experiment, you could try using TMPGEnc to first DeMultiplex the .VOB into its separate video and audio streams - and then Multiplex those streams as an MPEG-2 file...



Just curious - is this a COMPLETE copy of an ENTIRE .VOB, or was a portion of a .VOB cut using ChopperXP or MPEGCutter?

It was a complete vob, copied using smart ripper. Vob4 to be exact q-:
