    WinXP + Radium MP3 Codec = error

When I had Win98 all worked perfectly when i was encoding DVD's to DivX. I installed WinXP and when I press START CONVERSION in XMpeg 4.5 it says that error occured when trying to generate the file. I use 128kbit/s, 48000kHz, stereo. Do you have any suggestions? Should I use different audio codec or what? Please help

"when I press START CONVERSION in XMpeg 4.5 it says that error occured when trying to generate the file."

Why do you think this message has something to do with the Radium .MP3 codec?

Because when select "Uncompressed PCM Audio" it works perfectly. I also noticed that 44100kHz and 48000kHz doesn't work while oher frequencies work fine.

Consider separately processing the audio instead and muxing it later; a more reliable method:

        1. Rip audio to WAV using Graphedit/Vob2audio
        2. If you wish, you can amplify the volume of the audio using an audio editor, such as Cooledit
        3. Convert the WAV to MP3 using an mp3 encoder, such as LAME
        4. Mux the MP3, with the video you have created, using nandub

To Create the required LST file, open a TXT file (renamed to LST) and input somethng like the following:
        x:\Folder\VTS_01_1.VOB
        x:\Folder\VTS_01_2.VOB
        x:\Folder\VTS_01_3.VOB
        x:\Folder\VTS_01_4.VOB
        .
        .
        .
x:\Folder\VTS_01_x.VOB (The last VOB in the series)

For extracting audio from one VOB file only, you don't need to go though the creation of a LST file.

          I recommend Ogg Vorbis:
oggDropXPd (1) to encode, oggmux (2) or virtualDubMod (3) to mux and Tobias oggDS (4) to play ogg under directshow-compliant programs.
