Cos you're not doing it right...? Also, you've obviously not searched this forum.

        1) Load the XviD-compressed .AVI video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

        2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

        3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

By the way, are you able to play the XviD-compressed .AVI video?

They say there's no such thing as a stupid question... it's just the person asking it. Btw, you're not supposed to cross-post the same topic twice.

There's no need to turn this thread into a flame war.

BaybieGurl22 : WildmanJoe is right about the cross posting stuff though.

And if you want to post a question, please post more details about your problem, rather than just a one sentence question. Having a subject like "Xvid-Avi to Mpg-vcd?????" and the post content of "help me!!!!!", like in your other post, doesn't describe your problem, nor provide any information that would allow the rest of us to help you out.

Things you need to post :

            * Which conversion software are you using?
            * The kind of error message you get in this conversion software?
            * Any problems playing back the XviD file?
            * What XviD codecs have you installed?

A friendly word of advice, if I may - Let it slide.

Incendiary postings (such as the one you've just posted) can lead to "flame wars", which usually very swiftly lead to permanent banning of all involved parties...
