    How to extract sound from .MP4 - files

    Hi,

    I have files in .MP4 - format and want to extract the sound (is stereo-sound, I think) into WAV format. Does anyone know if there is a tool that can handle this ot if there is any other way ?

    Many thanks,

    Alex

        Hi, i read topics here and there but couldn't find the answer i look for.
        Is there a way how extract (demultiplex) sound track from divx avi-file AS it IS without decompressing into wav whatsoever?

        Please , there should be a way how to reassemble sliced mp3 from (audio-video-interlased =avi) file.
        thanx for your time. Alex

          Actually the solution is found and it's simple.

          In VirtualDub you should set "direct stream copy" in the menu "Audio" and go to "Save WAV..." in the "File" menu.

          In a minute you will get wav-file. Simply change its extention to mp3.
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
          here is the sourse of this solution (in german):
          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
