    Convert from DivX to MPG

Does anyone know of a program that can convert a DivX file format to a standard AVI or MPG?

    Thanks in advance!

what do you mean by standart avi????

yuv2 rgb huffyuv or dv code ???? or any other kind of aviwrapped code??

use virtualdub to do converting to any other avi, along with the tsunami filter and codec pack!

use Tmpeg to convert to mpg.

note that audiostream must be of constant bitrate (if mp3 encoded!)

      To make MPEG file:

extract the audio in virtualdub, to WAVE, of the DIVX file.

make sure sampling rate is 44100Hz if not then you have to downsample it using goldwave/wavelab.

Then simply follow the wizard in TMPGEnc and the audio source is the (downsampled) wave file.

if you dont do this - you may notice no audio is produced.

Ok. I tried to open the file(s) with VirtualDub (1.4) and get the following message: "unable to locate decompressor for file format 'DX50' (unknown)".

I have loaded the DivX 5.05 codec and the Tsunami mini pack.

Any ideas as to what I am missing or doing wrong?

And thanks for the help with this folks!

          OK, I got it working!

The Tsunami full install did it.

          Thanks everyone!
