    Problem with audio decompressor

I am very new to all of this stuff so please bare with me.

I am trying to convert an xvid file to mpeg 1 so i can make a vcd with nero.
I converted the video with TMPEG. It turned out fine but no sound, so i tried to decompress the audiofile into a wav file with virtualDub. When I try to do this it tells me that no audio decompressor could be found what should i do?

    Audio stream-
    sampling rate-48000Hz
    channels- 5 stereo

    sample precision-N/A
    compression- unknown(tag2000
    data rate 448kpbs

      "unknown(tag2000)"

This is a reference to an .AC3 audiostream.

In TMPGEnc, under the "Environmental Settings" "VFAPI plugin" tab rightclick on the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" and increase to the highest priority. This will enable TMPGEnc to accept a properly encoded .AVI with .AC3 audio for input...
