Hiya Everyone!! ^^ I'm a newbie, yes. And I don't have a clue about anything on DivX and converting stuff! Ha-ha-ha~
Anyway, a few weeks ago I downloaded Relone player...-_-;; Okay, that screwed up everything. I couldn't get the player to play one .rm/.ram file!! It kept on giving me illegal operation errors and crashed on itself. So I uninstalled it and tried download real player 8. Except now, not even real player 8 will work. x__x
Sooo, I decided..."I guess I'll try converting a .rm file into an avi or mpg file" o_o... I tried looking for a .RM converter, and I found one!!! ^^ Its called "RM Converter"! And guess what!?! It converted the .rm file into .avi using the DivX 5.0.1!!! YAAAY!!! The quality is good! But...the video is slower than the audio or the audio is faster than the video by a whole lot. How do I make the video and sound stay together well?
I tried using 2-pass, since many people say that it's the best quality ever!! Woo!~ I read on some sites that I need to select "2-pass, first pass" first to make the log file and then select "2-pass, second pass" overright the output file that was made to actually get the finished product. But sometimes I have an error when I select the "2-pass, first pass"!!
It gives me the error: "Failed AviFileOpen" But after a few times...I don't know why but it let me actually use the 2-pass, first pass!! Woohoo!! ^^ And then after that I selected 2-pass, second pass...and when that finished. I went to look at the file to see if it was any different than the "1-pass, quality" I had used on the .rm file earlier.
;_;...I got an avi file that was playing with chunky sqaure blocks everywhere on the picture!! The "1-pass, quality" was a whole lot better than 2-pass...and I wasn't expecting that. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about. And the sound and video was still not in sync. This time it seems as though the video was faster than the audio!
How do I get rid of the sqaure blocks and get a video + sound sync?
Oh yes, my computer is running on win98 (sadly, lol), and I think the speed 1.2gHz on an AMD Athlon XP. I'm really sorry if I babbeled too much...-_-; But I hope someone could help me out!!
