    DivFix wont work, smeared picture

I downloaded a movie but did not get the whole of it.

Then I tried to fix it with divfix, but when I try to see it in MediaPlayer or BSplayer it crashes or if I quickly jump ahead in the movie it shows a smeared picture with movement only in the upper section.

I checked it in GSpot which says that I have both correct audio and video codecs, but it says that the file was damaged.

How can I re-build my movie? Will rebuilding it fix so that I can view it correctly?

    What do you guys think?

it really depends on the client
if you downloaded it from kazaa it should work if you
extract it with "datview" from the still existing dat file
then load it into virtual dub.... let it rebuild the index and save as
new avi!! if you downloaded from emule or bittorrent or similar,
it may be that something in between is missing.... in this case
try to repair it with video fixer ( available on this site)....
if it still does not work... redownload it with a RELIABLE client

I used AviFixJoner which I found when I looked for video fixer. I also found some other programs, but it worked with te first one I tried.

        Thanks a lot.
