    Dr. DivX vs. VirtualDub

Hi has anyone tested these two programs against each other??

Did a little test the other day, both on the same file and with the exact same settings... And it took VirtualDub twice the time...

So do anyone get the same results?? and if so do anyone know why?

you cannot compare speed without any further word on the settings and the output quality

You should start suspecting where Dr. DivX is omitting important parameters (and hence crapping out).

            "yo,
            dr. divx rulez!!"

Thinking that one is opensource and another is Paid.So I will use VirtualDub.

I use Dr. Divx almost exclusively now. I'll initally confirm the best frame size with Gordian Knot (to reduce the aspect ratio error), but then I let Dr DiXv do the encoding.

                Easy, sleek little program.

well i like to use virtual dub mod but recently used the new version of dr divx that actually used divx 5.1, previous one was'nt.
anyway what i found is it produces nice quality and doing 2 pass is easier ... only one click.......hehe yeah im lazy.

well cant say bout older version but i found new version to be of nice quality.. but then it expires and im back to vdub ..
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!
