xvid joiner

i downloaded an xvid movie but its 2 parts, what program would be useful in joining the xvids together. could i simply use an ordinary divx joiner?

Joining two .AVIs can be accomplished in VirtualDub (or any of its variants) by simply:

1) Loading the first file and then, from the "File" dropdown menu selecting "Append .AVI segment" and loading the second file.

2) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copy"

3) Save with a new filename

What if audio stream is in variable bitrate ?
The message that appears are : "The Audio Streams have different sampling rates"
This is my case , any help ?
