How do you configure FFDShow?

I was recieving an error message FOURCC code "XVid" when I tried to view a movie file. I have downloaded FFDShow which should enable my Divx player to play the file but I am still getting the same message. How do you configure FFDShow to and my DivX player?

Haarj Toomaas.

You have got this Errormessage because you are trying to view a XVID-file with your DIVX-codecs, and thats something there are "not-to-be-done-the-practical-way"-able.

You need an XVID-codec and Playbackfilter and you need an AC3-audiocodec to playback these files, you can eighter get all nessesary codecs in the "TSUNAMI FILTERPACK 3.9.9" or you can find them seperately.
