    AC3 5 channel sound

    Hi,

I've always been creating divx files containing mp3 stereo audio.
I would like to create divx files containing 5 channel sound.
Normally I use Xmpeg for divx encoding.
Are there additional installed codecs necessary or must I use another conversion program?

You can extract the audio out as the original .ac3 file using DVD2AVI and muxing the said audio file with the DivX-compressed video using VirtualdubMod (or nandub).

To play a movie with AC3 sound, you need to install an AC3 filter.

    Regards.

Yes this sounds like a usable solution, but then I have to treat audio, video en separatly and remux them all together afterwards. This take a lot of time to create a divx files. Aren't there any programs yetthat offer this possibility at once (a bit in the style of easydivx, but a little more advanced)?.

The process of extracting out .ac3 file and muxing it with the video normally takes no longer than 10 minutes...
