    Encoding captured streams

I'm currently using DVX for everyday encoding but now I want to start encoding mpeg-2 captures to DIVX. Which tool will work for this? I want to be able to control things like the output file size, resolution, etc.

Is there anything out there like this? Being able to create OGM's would be great but that's probably asking for a bit much.

thoug many posters might disagree, DVDX 2.2
is a very nice program to convert valid mpeg2 to divx...
..xvid choosing doublepass encoding.... in my opinion
the most simple program...using open mpeg in
open files then choose mpeg or all files

I've been looking around but I can't seem to find any articles or tutorials specifically on converting mpeg-2 to avi via VirtualDub.

        Can you reccomend any?

VirtualdubMod can open MPEG-2 files (renaming video file extension to.vob might be necessary).

          Cheers.

So if that does indeed work (renaming the extension to .vob), I should be able to do the rest in DVX no? I'm used to that app and really like using it.
