    2-Pass "AVS Script" question.

Ok, so I have heard that this 2-Pass Xvid procedure of encoding was really good, that you get really good quality, good size, etc.

So, I was checking out this tutorial <a href="http://nic.dnsalias.com/XviD/XVID-TWOPASS.pdf">http://nic.dnsalias.com/XviD/XVID-TWOPASS.pdf</a>

And right in the begining it says: "Open File (which I understand) and then it says "Load your AVS script" WHAT exactly is an AVS Script?

And How do I make one? I understand all of the other terms, and procedures in the tutorial, but I don't know what this AVS script thing is.

    Any Help is Appreciated.

any decent frontend/gui like gordianknot or DVX will make use of avisynth and create an avisynth-script (avs) automatically

the avs contains parameters to open the corresponding file, crop it, define the resizer and additonal filters if needed/wanted
