Xvid + 5.1audio -> DVD Help?

I'm trying 2 convert a Xvid movie into a DVD but I want 2 keep the 5.1 AC3 audio track.
Can someone plz help me out?

demux audio + video (use virtualdubMOD and search the forum)

now convert your video to svcdformat - dvd format would be bigger in its resolution and UPsampling is never a good choice!

later you would have an svcd-format video and your ac3 stream

both can easily be turned into a dvd using dvd-lab (mediachance.com) WITHOUT any changes to either video- nor audiostream!
