        Hi,
i was looking for the same thing, how to cut a sub in 2! Aren't there any syncronisation problems resulting from this cutting of the subs?
        Thanks for your help!

Subrip does it quickly and easily (I use it with . srt files but I think it works with main formats) and sound is correctly syncronized.

            Thaks for the reply
but i forgot to tell you that i don't rip the dvd myself, i take divx movies from the net, as well as the subs; and if i'm right right subrip can only open vob files!
Is there any other possibility to syncronize srt or ssa subs?
            Thanks

You dont need the vob files to do it, just to open the srt file and enter the exact time you want to cut it.
I never had to resyncronize but there are tools to do it in the software page of this site.

By the way, which site or way do you use to download divx, the few ones I tried were dead links?

i will try subrip then again!
For downloading my movies i use kazaa (aka morpheus), it works just fine and has good choice!
                Thanks for the help!

You need to click on "show subtitle text window" and then use its menu to open the srt file. Then on the cd icon to split it.
