    NTSC > PAL conversion

hi, i'm using Ulead DVD moviefactory to chapterize and burn my VCD's,

but this program only knows the formats:
    NTSC 29,xxx 352x240
    PAL 25 fps 352x288..

But most of my movies (about.. ALL of them!!) are of the NTSCfilm format (23,xxx), But ulead doesn't know this format..

It's realy a neat program, but with this problem out of the way, it would be even better.

Is there an easy way to solve this, maybe to convert NTSC(film)>PAL

i hope i gave enough info, else ask me...

I think TMPGEnc and Nero also work with NTSC 23,976fps,but I'm not sure. If you want to convert the framerate yo uwill really have a lot of work. This guide may help you with it...

yeah, but i want to make chapters and place a nice wallpaper (aaaahh... how lovely?!! )

i use virtualdub and TMPGenc to "morf" my film from Divx to Mpeg1. Then i finalize it with Ulead DvD-blablabla.. and i also burn it with that program.

what is the best thing to do????? according to you

I tried the framerate-conversion as written in the guide that I allready told about. Conversion from 23,976 to 29,976 means that every 4th frame has to be displayed twice. Only tool I know that can do this is AVISynth. Maybe there ist also a filter for VirtulaDUB that can do it. For myself I wouldnt convert the framerate, because most times the audio gets a little out of sync.
