    uninstalling all codecs

Hello all. Am new here. Just recently i had a problem with premiere pro startup saying 'no valid editing modes. pls reinstall premiere' . So i did uninstall all codecs and tried reinstalling premiere a couple of times after several failed attempts. Any ideas whats wrong? Did i unsuccessfully uninstall all video codecs?

You could do a system restore if your using windows xp to a previous working state.
