    Xvid - DVD panning stutters

I use tmpgenc source creator to create the dvd files (mpeg or whatever) from an xvid file.

The xvid file plays perfectly on my system, but the resulting mpeg file sort of stutters when it is panning. i only have ffdshow installed. Does anyone know how i can stop this.

Can you use virtualdubmod to convert from xvid to dvd compliant files? if so can anybody tell me how to do it?

    cheers

No virtualdubmod will not work you will have to use tmpgenc plus to create the MPEG2 and tmpgenc author to create the DVD structure (vob files).

Rergarding the stuttering, can it be that you MPEG2 file is incredably big? SO your computer simply has problems retrieving the data from your harddisk?

i created the vob files using tmpgenc dvd author and it still stuttered.

If the file is ntsc do i have to put ntsc in when i convert from xvid to mpeg using tmpgenc source creator?

Yes, but how large is your mpg file?
