TMPGEnc Read Error

I keep getting read errors for every type of compressed video source that i try to convert, any solutions? Your Replies are greatly appriciated.

Running Windows XP
Athlon 2600
Pioneer DVR106D DVD RW

make sure the correct codecs are installed, even if you have what you mentioned installed

make sure you have enough HDD free

also you may wish to increase the filter priorities in options > environment settings > VFAPI plugin

it may also be corrupted frames...

try an older version of the software or a newer one

The most failsafe setting for the VFAPI plugins is to movie Microsoft Directshow to the highest priority, as this should be compatible with anything you can open in Windows Media Player etc. However, this has always caused problems for me when I've tried it.

You might want to consider uninstalling that codec pack, and only installing specific codecs that you need - installing lots of unused codecs frquently leads to a variety of errors and read problems.
