Encoding to xvid , dvix

Hi there can anybody help me !!!!

I have all the codecs installed to encode into xvid and divx

I use a program called dvdx 2.2 to encode a film from dvd to xvid or dvix , for some reason after it has finished encoding i try it with media player and it comes up with , this is not supported format

Does anybody know why this is happening when i have all the codecs installed to play the film?

It does the same with ImToo dvd ripper and other programs ??

I am also trying to rpi DVD to Divx, it saves lot of space.also we can have the back up. but i am not getting dvdx 2.2, Though its free, its asking me to register as VIP for that site. which is around 20$. If you have that free software, can you inform me by replying this post?

For DVD to XviD/DivX, try AutoGK.

take a look here for several dvd to xvid/divx converters. IMO fairuse for ease of use and quality is a good choice.
