Cutting Avi in half

Hi i am having a problem spliting avi files to 80 min cdr's they are too big i have tried virtual dub etc.. to cut them but they never come out right the voice doesnt go with the mouth etc.. is there another program i can use.. i dont want to change the format or anything just cut them to beable to put them on a cd.. Any help would be great..

If the sync problems are caused by the splitting you should try avisplitcalc you can get it from here

It uses nandub which AFAIK is the only tool that can cut avi files that contain vbr audio streams.
