      Hi,
      Thanx for response

I am using easy video splitter to do the cutting....

      hxxp://doeasier.org/splitter/

This is a good tool and I ve used it many times successfully...

It's only this movie of mine thats giving me this error...

I ve tried virtual dub as well and it gives me error too... Looks like the problem is with the encoding of the movie.....I dun know....

I can reproduce the error it happens all the time i try to split it..

      Thanx

Hmm, check the file with GSpot n' post the result...

And, have you tried VDubMod's "scan video stream for errors" function ???

        Bye

          Addition:

          - Have you used "direct stream copy" with VDub ???

          - Does the resulting file start with a keyframe ???

          - Has it a MP3-VBR audio stream ???

          Bye
