    xvid 1.0.2 settings

hi, i have a tv episode 720x576 in .mp4 format trouble is my xbox prefers xvids (same as me) when i try to encode the mp4 to an xvid avi it works but when i play it back you can see blocks (the outline of blocks) when watching it, ive tried as many modes in the codec as i can but i still see them. Is there something im doing wrong? i cant seem to find any guides for the codec 1.0.2 and other guides seem to have options that are no longer available in the codec! e.g b frames at the bottom is always blanked out and on the first tab i only have check boxes for interlacing and luminance whilst a new tab called alt curve is available, i am totally lost any help would be appreciated...

Maybe read this guide and this FAQ !!!

Btw, MP4 and AVI are containers !!!

XviD is MPEG4 and can be stored in MP4...

Maybe your MP4 file contains already a usable XviD stream ???

Try to demux the A/V streams and remux them into AVI container...

    Bye
