Can I author a DVD to my HD instead of burning a copy?

I have an XVID MPEG-4 .avi file of Dr. Vegas that I'm trying to watch. I've already encoded it to MPEG-2 using TMPGEnc Plus, getting a m2v video and wav audio stream. What's the easiest way to proceed from here so that I can view this on my computer (using POWER DVD?) and then delete it when I'm done?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jon

Use TMPGEncPlus again, to multiplex the video with the audio (You should have selected to create ONE file when you first used TMPGEncPlus), thereby creating a complete MPEG-2 file - which you should be able to play with PowerDVD...

    TMPGEnc>>MPEGTools>>SimpleMultiplex

Doh! I knew it was something simple like that, I've done it a million times before, but I'm using a different setting file, so that radio button moved on me.

      thanks,
