    Shorten a DivX movie ?!?

    Hola !

I have a DivX movie a bit too large to be burnt on a standard CD of 700MB. It's just 706.8MB and I would like to remove the last few minutes of the movie (like the credits) so it will fit to the CD.

I was wondering if someone knows the way to just cut the lenght of this AVI.

It looks like the video codec is DX50 640x256 24 bits and the audio one 48.000 kHz 0bit stereo.

    Anyone can help?

    Thanks in advance.

    load the avi into VirtualDubMOD

    hit shift+home

then drag the slider to where the credits start

    hit shift+END

you should see a blue bar in the slider now.

hit F7 to save, switch processing mode to direct stream copy. rename the file so it doesnt overwrite the original (optional).

    should take about 4-5 minutes.

If you're using NERO for burning, simply set it to "Overburn". It should be able to comfortably handle 10-15Mb extra...

also just try compressing it with winrar,it will shave off around 10megs from the file,i have done that twice and it worked perfectly.
