    Encoding anime (from DVD; interlaced)

I'm gonna encode .hack//SIGN into XviD files. Have ripped the files from the DVD, and it works fine making the files...But the problem is that the video is interlaced...That makes the image very "choppy" when the "camera" moves ie. when u look over landscape and the view goes to the right, and things like the episode name that stands still, kinda flicker

What plug-ins/filters should I use to deinterlace it?...Using GK, with VirtualDubMod and AVISynth...

Would also be nice with some suggestions for good codec setups for anime...

Use the Decomb plug-in for Avisynth. That will help with your interlacing problems.

    Regards.
