    DIVX/AVI to DVD problem

I am having difficulty converting some DIVXAVI files to DVD. I use TMPGEnc to convert to M2V and WAV files, then TMPGEnc Author (or DVD Lab) to convert to VOB. For some AVI files, converting to VOB does not work, with a read error being produced in the authoring tool. When this happens it is consistently at the same point in the file and the same thing happens no matter which authoring tool I use.

I have tried repeating the initial conversion stage, (to M2V & WAV), however same error occurs during authoring.
The M2V and WAV files play fine on BS player.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1) Load the original .AVI video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Have you tried putting The "M2V" and "WAV" files on separate "Tracks" in DVD Author?

I have managed to get round the problem by breaking up the initial encoding stage (using TMPGEnc) to smaller chunks.

          Thanks for your help.
