    hello people.

i have 4 players in my computer:
    winamp 5.08, wmp 10, Viplayer 2.91, Divx player 2.6

the only player that can play the movies is "Divx player"

i also dowloded the program Gspot to check if i have missing codecs and it didnt find anything missing.

EXACTLY what happens when you try to play an .AVI in EACH of these players?

DivX Player is my choice for playing DivX encoded .avi movies. For anything else for example xvid WMP should play them with the right codecs.

I suggest uninstalling ALL codecs and players you have and installing a clean copy of the latest DivX codec (which includes latest player) Find a respectable codeq pack and install just ONE and see if you can play the movies.

I would re-install win amp or Viplayer, buts thats just me...

EDIT: I think this is should be in the playback section
