    bitrate calculator for divx 5.0

    Hi guys, does annyone know, if there is a bitrate calculator for divx 5.0?

    It looks to me the calculator for 4 will work just as well.

    But then again, a change in the settings of the codec (eg. quantisiser) will affect filesize, so calculators are used to predict the final filesize only. Accurate readings aren't that easy to get.

      File size predection with divx5.0 is currently the topic of extensive discussions at divx.com and doom9, I have only done 1 test in 2-pass mode and b-frames, Q-pel and gmc turned on.
      It turned 7 MB (0.5%) undersized using GKnot's calculator, wihich is as good as divx4 ever was at filesize prediction.

      Please if you get severly undersized files try encodeing in quality based encoding at 100% and all other things beeing equal. If the file turns out the same size then you have reached the maximum quality possible, otherwise report it at the divx5 encoding forum at www.divx.com
