    pinncale 9 with dvd

I capatured my wedding video from my sony hi8 camcorder to my jvc dvd recorder which i then put on to dvd so i could edit it with pinncale 9. I soon found out that i had to change the vob files which after alot of messing round with programs (all weekend ) i ended up with one file in mpeg .When i put the file into pinnacle 9 it worked fine all the clips came up in the time line but it still would not play them . Can anyone help as I have messed around with this for about 2 weeks and still not getting anywhere

Try using TMPGEnc DVD Author (A different program than TMPGEnc) instead of Pinnacle 9.

TMPGEnc DVD Author- <A HREF="http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html"><FONT COLOR="3399FF"> Click Here To Download A Trial Version of TMPGEnc DVD Author</A></FONT>

(It is a trail version, although the trial version is fully functional for 30 days.)

Another possible solution is to use TMPGEnc Xpress or DVD author to bring in the VOBs and make them into MPEG-2s, then edit with Womble Video Wizard, which is frame-accurate, and is a LOT easier to use than Studio 9. It also has transitions. You could then bring in the edited MPEG-2s into TMPGEnc DVD author, build your menu and burn.

If you want to bring in the edited MPEG-2s into Pinnacle, you can, but be aware that Pinnacle doesn't support AC-3 audio. (I'm assuming here that you're putting your video from your Sony onto a standalone DVD recorder, which means it is likely Dolby AC-3 (unless you're using LPCM)). Womble does support AC-3; so I would favor editing in that application.
