    Site to download Nandub files???

I know that a while back, I stumbled onto a site where you could download NanDub .stats files for many movies. Does anyone know where I can find this site?

    Thanks in advance,
    Justin

If so, you will also have to make sure that you get the Processing Setting files (.vcf) with which these .stats files were created. Otherwise, the .stats files by themselves aren't going to give any good results.

        Not looking to download Nandub

I am not looking to download Nandub but rather completed 1st pass .stats files for different movies. I know there was a site, but I lost the URL.

          Try using search engines.

But then again, why use other people's settings when you can just use a setting of your own liking? I hate being restricted to one pre-set setting. Taking more time to create a new .stats file and being able to set my own settings are what I would do.

Anyway, I did a quick search on Yahoo using 'nandub stats' as my search criteria.

            A few links I got:

            , and many others.

However, I still strongly urge you to use your own settings and be proud of it.

              ---------------

I have read a few threads, where peoples asked what settings to use to get superb 1CD quality which you can see on Internet, but they have never got an answer from you guys.

Do you make money from this or what? Or you just bluff?

Whay don't you reveal some settings you had used to make a quality 1CD 90 min movie with let say NanDub.

Was there any need to be this bitterly aggressive??? I don't make money from all these things in the first place! I'm doing this out of my liking on this subject and wish to help others.

There is no definite method of getting the best results. It's more like Try and See. You try this setting and see if the end result satisfies you. Of course you should try to follow a few general rule of thumbs.

Basically, for a 90min movie, you don't really have to reduce the resolution of the movie much. A 640x() type should work well. As for Nandub settings....it really depends too on the type of movie you're encoding and it is advisable that you are familiar with Nandub so that you know exactly what parameters to use. Also, fast-action movies are generally harder to encode (Read: Get great results) than slower movies. You should be aware of that already.

p.s. Maybe you should be shouting the same question to the anime encoders. They seem able to do almost the impossible. Fitting a 20min episode on 30meg is one feat. I can't say the quality is anywhere bad nor unbearable.

If your not into doing your own job and want it don't for your then use G-Knot and it will hold your hand too

By the way it seems G-Knot now prefers Virtual Dub with DivX 4.11 and not nandub/DivX3 (Hacked V-Dub) anymore, the people in the know say nandub is too old in the tooth.

This aint my opinion as I don't use it anyway
