Changing the xvid codec

Hi,


The most of my movies are xvid
I also installed divx codec but now I get the divx logo for a sec in my screen when playing a movie ,so I suppose that my players doesn't use the xvid of koepi anymore but the codec from divx

Can I change it back that everything uses the xvid codec of koepi again ?

reinstalling xvid codec of koepi doesn't work

you could try this:

- UNinstall divx

- reinstall XVID (in order to make it the default playbackfilter after divx is no longer assigned for the playback)

- now reinstall divx and make try looking for any checkbox that might make divx the default playback filter
(i dont know if there is any such thing but i hope a decent software should offer this solution!)

i have xvid + divx installed but i prefer FFDSHOW as universal playbackfilter for all possible formats!

moreover, you could simply open the divx options and DISABLE this logo that shows when divx5 is starting playback

i didn't even know you could disable that logo....but i kina like it there
