    virtualdub, WAV -> mp3 compression, missing sampling rates

    hi, i'm lookig for advice. i'm processing avi via virtual dub ...
    -----------------
    1) Load the original .AVI into VirtualDub
    2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy" and "Audio" to "Full Processing Mode"
    3) From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Compression" - and choose the .MP3 ("MPEG Layer 3") sampling rate you prefer
    //4) Save with a new filename//
    -----------------

    ... but i need more sampling rates (128kbps would be great to have), but i got only few (even if i check the checkbox for all sample rates) and the best i got is 22kHz, 56 kbps ...

    ... how can i gain 128, 160, 192 @ 44,1kHz, please ???

    thank you

    peter

      yeh - you need to reinstall an mp3 codec... like RADIUM/LAME (RADIUM preference of mine!)
