    dvd-2-1-vcd?

Does anyone know how to fit a whole ripped dvd onto a single 80 minute vcd? I'm using smartripper and dvdx, but always have to copy the mpeg to 2 discs. Can I compress the file without losing quality. Any advice helpful, thankyou.

well, are you talking about a DIVX file?

If so, you can cut the credits out using nandub to reduce the size. Hopefully it should fit on 1 CD, what is the current size of the file?

no its not a divx file, its a ripped dvd converted to mpeg so I can copy it to a vcd and watch it on my external dvd player. Any clue what I can do?

If it's an MPEG file, try to cut the end credits out if possible using TMPGENC.

Otherwise, I don't think there is another way.

If the movie is short (less than 60 minutes), you should be able to do so. However, few movies play for this short a time and generally, you will need to use 2CDs henceforth.

Hi, on 80 min. CD you could not write 80 min. VCD. It is for at about 10MB is required for VCD files. About 78-79 min. of VCD is possible, but try it first on 700MB CD-RW!

            Bye, Baca.
