    WMV to DVD Quality

Just wondering if i convert a WMV file to burn on a DVD will it end up being better quality than simply burning the WMV as a VCD?

I doubt it, but actually it depends on the source Wmv quality also,if the source is exceptionally sharp and crisp, use MPEG2 (dvd) else MPEG1 (VCD) should be fine.

        How to convert???

Can anyone tell me the best way to convert a wmv file to MPEG2 (DVD) file?
I have exceptionally good wmv videos (20sec of video with 20MB size) with 5.1 dolby audio track. Can I convert it to MPEG2(DVD) with 5.1 audio?

        Thanks,
        Senthil

Use TMPGenc for your Video conversion to MPEG2

I tried to convert my WMV(HD) to MPEG2 using TMPGEnc, but it said 'size is not matching with MPEG2' (forgot the original error message). How shall I proceed now? I could convert it to MPEG1 (VCD) format.

                Thanks,

sounds like a resolution error of tmpgenc dvd author. did you use the wizard of tmpgenc plus? it would be nice if you posted the exact error.
