VCD(DAT) to DVD(VOB)

Hi,

I have some VCD movies in DAT format and I want to burn them into a DVD. Can someone tell me the right way to convert DAT files into VOB files?

DAT is basically a MPEG1 and DVD is MPEG2, therefore you can do things.

a) Extract the DAT using TMPGEnc and leave it as MPEG1

b) Extract the DAT using TMPGEnc and convert it to MPEG2

Common) Now use something like DVDlabpro to author your own DVD out of the extracted file.
