colour balance wrong

ii have a divx movie of crash, but when i play it back on my pc it is all red. I converted it to dvd and played it back on the standalone dvd player but it's still red. Can anyone please help? Many thanks in advance.

play the file in VLC-- if its still red then its likely the file has been encoded that way

i was looking for a way to correct the imbalance in the colours if this was possible, thanks.

open in virtualdub, play with the 'hsv adjust' filter
