i m a new bie
u genius guys plz tell me what tool/software should i use to convert my
.ts video files to xvid format
for now i m using xilisoft vedio converter for encoding n then i can watch my vedios in my mobile display.
i m a dreamer n use my DREAMBOX , a digital satellite receiver for recording.
suggest PLZZZZZ. for better encoding .......

virtualdubmod, gordian knot or staxrip

i found the following stuff
:::virtualdubmod,gordian knot,staxrip n advanced x vedio converter....
which should be used for encoding .ts files to xvid .......

ts stands for transport stream, not transponder. use TSQtoMPG to mux to mpg container. then use program of your choice, eg megui, staxrip, vdubmod.

i m testing staxrip right now n also getting the best results so far...
