Help with VirtualDub.video.SetCompData param

In the program I'm developing I can call the codec compression dialog, which returns the settings in the AVICOMPRESSOPTIONS structure.

Any ideas on how to convert these parameters into the Base64 string used by VD scripts? OR how to invoke the Codec selection dialog and get a base64 string accordingly to its settings, using any automated method possible?
