Rare problem with "hang up" after encoding

    Hi!

I have a really weird problem when i am trying to encode DivX files.

I use FlaskMPEG v0.6 Preview and DivX v5.0 - 2 pass encoding, to encode the movie. I used DVDdecrypter do decrypt the movie, but the problem also appeared when i used CladDVD.

When the encoding process is done and i got a .avi file that teoretically should be perfect, i try to open the file. Then my explorer.exe restarts. When i try to open it from the "Open File" in Media Player 6 my computer answers with "mplayer2.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows." I also try to open it in DivX player but that won't work neither.

    My computer:
    Pentium 4 - 1,3 ghz
    384mb RDRAM
    1 maxtor 40 gb
    1 seagate 45gb
    GeForce 2 GTS

OS: Windows 2000 Service Pack 2

Somone could give me tips on what to do? It is really irretating, i promise..

I believe it's a problem with the sound. Try disabling audio processing and do it separately, or encode the audio in uncompressed PCM .wav file before sending it into Virtualdub (or anything else) for conversion to MP3.
