Software to join multiple MPEG files ?

Does anyone know any software that can join mulitple mpeg-1files (vcd format) without re-encoding them ? I actually want to burn the combined file then on a cd & play it on my vcd player. I tried joining the mpg files by TMPGEnc 2.5 Plus ( Merge in MPEG Tools) but when I played the merged file on my vcd player, the video appeared jittery like it appears when u run a scratchy vcd on ur player. So can anyone suggest me some other genuine mpg joining software ? Can I join the mpg files using Procoder 2 without re-encoding them ?

Software to join multiple AVI files ?

Is there any software that can join multiple avi(divx codec) files of different resolutions without re-encoding them ? I actually have some quicktime trailers that I have encoded into avi but the avi files have different resolutions as I have cropped certain portions of that trailer. As a result some avi ouputs have different resolutions. So how can I join the AVIs into a single complete avi trailer without re-encoding them ? Just to let u guys know that the audio codec & the frame rates of the AVIs are same. Its just the resolution thats different.

2 threads started - one on AVIs another on mpeg-1.

I think we can deal with this issue in just 1 thread.

            no, not without re-encoding

as for mpeg-1, tmpgenc should handle that fine; does the mpeg play properly on PC?

i've merged about 7 million mpegs with TMPGEnc with 100% success. you must have playback issue.

Yeah the playback goes fine on pc but not on tv. It appears jittery when viewing on tv as if the merged file is corrupted. I have checked my Sony vcd player & it is also working properly. Dats why I never use 'Merge' in 'MPEG tools' in TMPGEnc Plus & so I always end up re-encoding the files in Procoder 2 using 'Stitch' & this is really time-consuming. Any comment guys ?

varunb: is the varunbali account also yours? If so, why the need for two accounts?

Yeah it is mine. Actually I had first made my account here with the username 'varunb'. Then I stopped coming to this site sometime ago due to some reasons . Later when I returned this site I had completely forgotten that I already have an account with 'varunb' so I went ahead with 'varunbali'. It was just a day or 2 ago that I myself found out that I already have an existing account with 'varunb'. This is bcos I am a member of other forums & so I am in a habit of logging in as 'varunb'. Its kind of stuck to my mind. Sir, I suggest that u should delete my account with 'varunbali' to avoid confusion. Its your choice. I apologize if I caused any inconvinience to anybody.
