    Ripped DVD Files to DivX

hi, i'm new at this but i do try.
i would like some help in converting ripped dvd files to divx using media coder which i recently dwnloaded but have no idea how to use.
what i would like to do (if possible) is convert 3 movie files to one divx dvd disc.
    any takers?
(a guide on how to use media coder, just like the guide for dvd decrypter would be handy too).

Download MediaCoder for free. Universal media transcoding software. MediaCoder is a universal media transcoding software actively developed and maintained since 2005. It puts together most cutting-edge audio/video technologies into an out-of-box transcoding solution with a rich set of adjustable parameters which let you take full control of your transcoding.

It is a great tool Jo.

      @Deuce,
      1.Open ur DVD file
2.In the lower window select Video and choose ur FORMAT e.g XVid
3.In CONTAINER select Container format e.g AVI
      4.In Audio select the Encoder e.g.Lame mp3
      5.Choose ur Output Folder
      6.Click START and relax.

After u have converted ur 3 files join them using Virtualdub.

            hi,
getting a little frustrated i am.
after converting dvd files using mediacoder, i then tried using virtualdub to join them but the program is saying i can't use these files coz they are windows movie files and not VFW files.
how do i make them VFW files?

VfW is an interface, not a type of file. Sounds like you don't have a VfW decoder installed. If you use VDubMod instead of VDub, it should let you join without the need for a decoder. Otherwise, you just need to install say XviD or ffdshow since I would assume that mediacoder actually uses XviD or libavcodec for encoding and not DivX, also it would create avi files and not DivX files. If you want DivX files, you need to use something else. Joining DivX files with VDub though, you would lose subtitles, menus, chapters, etc.

                Hello deuce

U can get ffdshow here at the following link.
FFDShow 1.3.4534 x64 : FFDShow is a powerful codec pack that enhances your multimedia experience by providing support for a wide range of audio and video formats.

Or Xvid here at the following link.
Download the Xvid Codec, an open source MPEG-4 codec for encoding and decoding (playback)

                Hope this helps.
