    Audio video sync problem

I recently bought an ntsc dvd & ripped the vob's using dgindex separately. After ripping, i got the corresponding ac3 streams with different delay factors, all being negative. Basically i want a combined avi. Moreover, i can't encode the vob's separately bcos when i joined the individual avi's into one & played the output, I found that as soon as the end of avi's used to appear, there was a slight jerk. This jerking didn't appear when I ripped the vob's into a single d2v. So this time when I encoded the single d2v (using avisynth frameserving & vdubmod) & used the delay factor & found that after an hour of the avi was over, the audio/video sync got disturbed.

What shud i do to maintain the audio-video aync ? I used the pcm stream after converting the ac3 stream to uncompressed wav alongwith full stream processing in vdubmod.
