VobSub problems

I was trying to make subtitle in VobSub format from SRT file and I finally made it. But now I have another problem.
The VobSubs are displaying well on my PC, but on my DVD player, they are going well until some line when the sub freezes or dissapears. I can figure why is this happenig exactly to that line, it seems same as any other line.
Anybody have some clue or somethig???

2 things:-
1- the sub file might be corupt or broken in some way. if so try and get alternative subs from somewhere, or find a program to fix the file.
2- try encoding and burning again, it could just be a bad burn.

Check out DVDSubEdit. It can easily edit your subs, including their commands. Even has OCR in it. Get it from the link in my signature.

can't your player read SRT? anyway an alternative to blu's suggestion, you might want to run them through subtitle workshop, should fix any problems

It can read SRT but the letters are all white without outline and they are small. Also there are problems with East european languages. With VobSub there are none of this problems.
When I open the IDX file with Subresync, it says Forced = Yes on the lines where the player stops the subtitle. Do you know what is that and how get rid of it?? I deleted that lines, but I hope that some of you have more elegant solution

I am talking about IDX/SUB files. I've read that this files are called VobSub format.

convert your movie into vob format, add your subtitles and then burn to dvd. it sounds like the subs aren't compatible with the video file.

I was making this subs for Divx or Xvid video, but I tried everything and still remains a mistery to my why is this happening. It happens only once or twice in a whole movie, and it seems that everything is ok with that line. Maybe it is something with the player. Probably from now on I will burn the subs directly into the movie . Is there any program for editing this IDX/SUB files?? I can open them with SubResync (part of VobSub) but I can edit them and it says that nothing is wrong with the subtitle

burning the subs direct into the movie is deffo your best bet. if the subs are in vob format, then encode your movie into vob format and then burn together. that should work.

sometimes, annoying as it is, software can be a big problem. i was trying to copy a certain dvd and at a certain point in the movie it would start skipping and pausing. i went through about 3 or 4 other programs untill i found one that actually copied it properly.

ZokiMKD,
the best path was shown to u by Anonymez.Edit ur .srt file in Subtitle Workshop.Then,if u think that u need a different format,save the srt as that format from SW.Also,search for ERRORS in the srt file using SW and fix them accordingly. BTW,I always play Xvids with subs in srt format.Hard subbing(burning the subs into the video) causes reencoding and a subsequent loss of quality.
