    Overscans

Hi! I've been here for a while but I seldom have problems with DivX. I just want to ask if there are any tutorials around here on how to fix overscans? I don't know if it's from the TV or the Standalone Player hence, I need some guides on how to determine the cause as well as the solution.

BTW, the situation I am in is that I can play fine DivX videos via the Player but I need to stretch in a weird resolution cause of the overscan. Instead of adjusting the resolution, I guess I can put safe borders around the picture so that when overscanning, the whole actual video is still seen.

when you resize to a custom resolution (which is what i think you are driving at), make sure to stick to values divisible by at least 8 better 16

areas outside the videos should automatically be black
