How to burn an avi or xvid movie to play it in a dvd player ?????

    I have downloaded avi2dvd, but each time i use it, i keep getting the following error:

    Any ideas what is going wrong?

      Nero most of the time makes dvds from avi with a voice video sync problem

              Just burn as Data-DVD(as already stated).And as Chewy asked,what software do you use for burning DVD?

                Nero 7 can transcode from Divx to dvd and it's a simple procedure I've never had probs with audio but as suggested to me I now burn to harddrive then use Imgburn to burn DVD

                        well i havent tried any its the first dvd that i;ll be burning with your help plz suggest me which software to use should i use nero--any version --then burn as data dvd ==and they would be played on divx player
