be a little more precise in your description!

i have no idea what kind of tool/settings are used in that guide.

maybe other ppl dont know either.

The steps are pretty much straight-foward it involes:
        1. DVD decryption (smart-ripper)
        2. D2V file made with DVD2AVI
        3. creating an AVS file with gordion knot
        4. processing the AVS file through Virtual Dub

i have been using an automizer for all the steps written for DivX5.01 Pro by jonny but i have experience doing the process manually aswell. I HAVE TRIED both methods.

i have also redone every step from as far back as re-ripping the DVD. It also should be made clear that i have ripped and encoded several DVD's using this method. the problem just seemed to come out of nowhere seeing i have made not one change to my system. if anyone can help please i am desperate

did you repeat the whole procedure?

i mean everything that follows the ripping (or even ripping the data to your hdd) process

maybe dvd2avi/avs needs to be re-installed
