    Help: DivX/XviD resize without recompress

    Hi guys,

I got a bunch of movies - both DivX and XviD rips - which have sizes above 720/576 therefore I cannot play them with my hardware DVD player, which only support sizes below.

For example, I got Species I, XviD rip 2 disks, which is 800x320, and the movie will not be played with the hardware DVD player, although it plays fine on my comp no matter what the screen resolution is.

Is there a way to resize those movies without doing actual video (and perhaps audio) recompression? I have tried a few tricks with VirtualDub, but I always end up having to do actual recompress in order to resize the movies.

Thanks in advance for any help.

no. audio need not be re-encoded unless it's a format your standalone doesn't support
