    Poor Video Quality with Virtualdubmod

I'm using virtualdubmod to convert a mpeg-2 file to avi(XviD) and I'm getting horrible video quality (Lots of pixelation). I'm positive this is user error via settings, but I have been unable to find a user guide on this software and I'm still a beginner so I'm not 100% sure what the settings should be. Does anyone know where I can find a walk through/user guide for virtualdubmod?

    Thanks,

quality relies mostly on encoder/bitrate/settings/resolution, search the forum or google for xvid settings. however i suggest you start off with something a little easier-- try AutoGK
